If there is any recklessness while installation, it might reduce the duration of elastic joint and endurance, resulting in untimely annulment or damaging the piping system.
Be sure to install elastic joint according to the space length designated by manufacturer. Do not pull or shorten the joint forcedly to match the space or bend the elastic joint to match the oblique piping.
Bellow absorbs piping change by deflection of thin-wall. Hence the thickness of pipe-wall not only should be thick enough to bear designed pressure, but also be thin enough to bend to absord expectative piping displacement. After reaching optimization, it always makes the thickness of wall of Bellows smaller than other components in the same piping system. Assembler should realize that Bellows is more fragile than other piping components, so it must take every possible protection measures while installation. Avoid indentation by bumping, dropping welding residue, electric arc impact, and other surrounding objects blocking elastic movement of Bellows. Practice correct and reasonable storage, process, and installation to reach deserved characters of product.
